A Smarter Approach to Helmet Safety
Too many football players aren’t fully tightening their chin straps—putting themselves at risk every time they step on the field. Even with modern helmet systems, this problem is widespread and often overlooked. In a national survey of nearly 500 coaches, 28% of players were reported to play with untightened chinstraps, putting them at higher risk to injury. That’s thousands of athletes currently playing with loose chin straps. The Saturn Strap is being built to address this head-on. It gives players and coaches clear feedback when a helmet is fully secure—helping close a critical gap in football safety.
